There may be some occasions when you want to change the extension of a file on your Android device. For example, you might want to change a file called Androidtipsz.apk to Androidtipsz.zip.
If you are using an Android phone or tablet and looking to change a file extension in your device, then you might be wondering whether it’s possible to change the file extension through android device. Well, it’s possible, in this article I’ll show you how to change file extension on Android device.
To change file extension on Android is really easy, what you have to do is just install a file manager app on your device. Most of the file manager apps available on Play store support renaming extensions like File manager, Astro File Manager, ES File Explorer, and X-plore File manager, etc.
Install one of these file manager apps. Once installed, open the app and navigate to the file for which you want to change its extension. Long press on the file name and select ‘Edit/Rename’. Change the file extension and tap ‘OK’.
